Boston Celtics, The Real Deal.

8 11 2007

Many people had their doubts, Many people said it can’t work out. Well the Big 3 Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett and Ray Allen seemed to have it made… So far. At one point during the game against the Nuggets the C’s had a lead of 41 points. If you thought the Celtics where over the moon with that type of performance you think again, Here is what Paul Pierce had to say after the 118-93 win.

“We are just scratching the surface on what we can do, We enjoy seeing the next player make a great play and no one cares who gets credit.”

Key Stats

Points: Pierce 26

Rebounds: Garnett 13

Assists:  Garnett 7

Can we expect even more against the Young and exciting Hawks who took care of business against the Phoenix Suns.

Holy shit, Big Al might stay even if KG comes

30 07 2007

As you may know the Kevin Garnett to the Celtics trade talks are back in full force. It was said that the Celtics best young player Al Jefferson was going to Minnesota, which made sense from the Timberwolves viewpoint.

But then this happened

Shira Springer on the Boston Globe’s website

“Kevin Garnett soon could become the newest member of the Celtics, multiple league sources said this afternoon, but two of the sources cautioned that any trade may not be as imminent as some early reports indicated.

As the trade currently stands, the Celtics would send Gerald Green, Ryan Gomes, Sebastian Telfair, Theo Ratliff, and two first-round picks to the Timberwolves for Garnett.

Al Jefferson is not included in the deal at the moment.”

Even as someone who loves Ryan Gomes,

GET IT DONE DANNY!

Is anyone really scared of the Celtics?

24 07 2007

Sure as hell doesn’t look like Tim Duncan is..

Is anyone scared of Boston? Short answer no. Look at every team in Sport’s worst division.. the Hellhole or as you might call it the Atlantic Division. Toronto, New Jersey, Philadelphia and New York. Why would any of those teams worry about a few ageing stars and an “upcoming” forward.

Heres what the other teams had to say when interviewed:

Toronto: Boston who’s?

New Jersey: Go back to the lotttery

Philadelphia: Our mediocrity is to much for you

New York: We have Donaghy on our side

On a more serious note According to ESPN’s Hollinger ratings the Boston Celtics have 3 of the best players in the league with: Ray Allen, Paul Pierce and Al Jefferson. The only other two teams in the same situation are the Spurs and the Suns and a little hunch tells me those teams aren’t doing to badly.
